18/2 Declaration of Interests
The chairman declared a pecuniary interest in item 18/7 Financial Matters.
18/3 Minutes of previous meeting
Minutes were agreed for accuracy.
18/4 Matters arising from the minutes
Members noted that Berryhill Cottage has been cleared of vehicles and looks empty.
18/5 Police Matters
Police report for the Marshfield Ward for the month of June was presented to members. Damage Tredegar House Drive, shoplifter Tredegar House Drive, drag racing Church Lane, off-road bikes Celtic Way, front and rear number plates removed Jamaica Grove, theft of lead Tredegar House, nuisance youths Nant Y Moor Close, attempted theft of a bike Tredegar House, damage to a fence Imperial Way, theft Smiths Trading Celtic Way, ASB Powis Close.

18/7 Finance Matters
Clerks pay, members agreed to carry on with the National Association of Local Councils Guidelines on pay scale spinal point 19 at 4 hours per week, members felt that this may not be enough hours to carry out all the extra work, clerk to monitor situation. The chairman declared a pecuniary interest in this item and took no part of the decision.
Audit, accounts were ready to go to the auditor, members checked audit sheets and the result from the internal auditor was given to members with no issues to report, members agreed that audited accounts can be forwarded to the Welsh Government auditor.
Clerk reported that the audit notices were posted in the community and on the website, it was also resolved to donate £200 to the Parc Golf Club for their charity this year for allowing us to use a room for our meetings.

A member reported that travellers had caused traffic hold up on roads around the area and he phoned Gwent Police who were aware and monitoring the situation, clerk to contact local inspector for an update.
