19/02 Declaration of Interests
19/03 Minutes of previous meeting
Minutes were agreed for accuracy.
19/04 Matters arising from the minutes
Clerk had not heard from NCC regarding knotweed.
19/05 Police Matters
Police report for the Coedkernew for the month of December was read out to members:
4/12 Tredegar House Museum break in, 9/12 Imperial Way theft from a container, 15/12 Church Crescent possible house break in, 19/12 Pencarn Avenue theft of a gate, 21/12 Quinn’s Radiators break in 4 in custody, 27/12 Pennard Close quad bike ASBO.
Residents were warned to be vigilant as there had been a spate of burglaries around the area targeting high value properties.
Members are hoping that the new car park will alleviate parking issues on Imperial Way.
Members wished CSO Ashford good luck with his new position in the West Country.

Presentation on Review of electoral arrangements for the County of Newport, on 30 January by the Boundary Commission at the Civic Centre.
19/07 Finance Matters
Bank balances were read out to members.
Third precept of £986 had been banked.
Members agreed to pay the invoice to Welsh Audit Office of £324.90
Precept Requirements for the Coedkernew had been received, the NCC has set the tax base at 986.58, members discussed the requirements for the coming year

Members resolved to set the precept at £3 per band D property which would raise a total of £2959.74 with the short fall coming from existing balances.

Members were concerned about the amount of litter thrown in the hedgerows, clerk to inform NCC; also the lights were out on the SDR at the Church Lane junction.
Date of next meeting was to be 19 February 2019
Clerk will inform members if date changes due to availability of the golf club.
