Planning Committee had passed the car park at Imperial Way which should alleviate parking problems when completed.
Police report for December was read to members:
Jamaica Walk 2 incidents of breaking into cars, Jamaica Grove theft of vehicle, burglary Hazel Drive, scooter stolen from Grosmont Way, vehicle break in Picton Walk, criminal damage Castel Coch Drive, there had been 40 parking tickets issued at Imperial Way. Members noted speed checks on the A48 at regular intervals.
There is to be a review of community and town councils by the Welsh Government.

Balances were read out for members.
Final precept payment of £981.84 has been received.
The community council has also been informed that HMRC have a new system for claiming VAT. The final payment for setting up the web site has been paid.
Chairman gave members an estimate of the costs for the coming year, with the following commitments:
Council insurance £250
Room rental £200
Clerks expenses £150
Clerks salary £1900
Estimated costs for 2018 £2700
Members resolved to set the precept at £3.00 per band D property
Register of Members Interest
Clerk reported that all members had completed the Register of Members Interest and we will publish on our web site.
Any Other Business
Members were still awaiting the decision from the Welsh Government Planning Inspector on the appeal at Berryhill Cottage.
